UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA - Seoul, KR - 2012–2020

Responsible for the operations, service, sales, and marketing of students in Korea to the University of Central Oklahoma. Single-handedly developed partnerships with local universities and high schools to recruit students. Additionally, I analyze data for the financial viability of my office as well as other programs within the office. I helped recruit and support American students coming to Korea for study abroad. Moreover, I support our efforts in China and Japan, traveling to China five times and to Japan once.

Strategy:
Developed a country strategy for student recruitment by analyzing the market trends and adjusting the recruitment strategy to find new areas of growth in a declining market.

Project Management:
Bore sole responsibility for growing university’s Korean student population. Brought Korean students to the record level in School history and made them the number 1 country for all international students at the school. Also worked to grow the Study-abroad program from 1 participant to over 200 participants in 7 years, pushing Korea to top ranking for study abroad programs world-wide.

Partnership Development:
Developed 6 new University partnerships, fluently navigating cultural and language differences to increase student numbers and revenue.

Collaboration:
Worked with faculty and staff within the University to create cross-cultural programs as well as pathway programs to bring in more students.

Technology Innovation:
Researched and utilized a new social media platform uniquely suited to client needs, increasing communication effectiveness to an 80% response rate.Found and recommended an AI marketing platform better suited for our global marketing efforts. Began University's first KakaoTalk profile for prospective students to use for questions. This was the first effort in our office to move from email to text messaging for customers.

Staff Development:
Supervised intern to increase international awareness of study-abroad program.

ROI assessment:
Created a financial model to report the ROI of study-abroad program as well as the UCO Korea Office. This helped validate the programs and even convinced the Vice President and President to provide more support.
